Relaunch Update

Bath Local Exchange Trading Scheme began in 1991 as a mutual credit system, enabling members to trade goods and services with each other in a virtual currency called Olivers, and had a boost in 2010 when it featured in a TV documentary and went online - with the support of LETSlink UK.

Soon afterwards the organisers began working with Transition Bath to launch a major project - with a new website - to print and circulate Oliver notes, but this faded as cash went out of fashion, and the Olivers Company closed in 2017. When the project website disappeared in 2020, we began receiving enquiries, reinstated our original website, began enrolling new members and are consulting existing members about a relaunch.
